Valerie Quinto

Valerie Quinto is the Executive Director of the Sonoma Resource Conservation District, a local agency that addresses natural resource issues by empowering landowners to be part of the solution. Over the past decade, Valerie has been instrumental in launching the regional LandSmart® program, promoting productive lands and thriving streams through on-farm management practices, including those that promote carbon sequestration, soil health, and climate adaptation. Valerie also serves on the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. A life-long resident of Sonoma County, she grew up in an apple orchard in Sebastopol, earned her B.S. in biology at Sonoma State University, and now lives in Santa Rosa.
