Sonoma Public Infrastructure (formerly TPW)

Sonoma County Transportation and Public Works plans, builds, manages, and maintains the County’s investment in quality services and infrastructure. Its vision is to lead the way to a safe and sustainable community through stewardship and innovation. The department operates the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport, connecting travelers to destinations in Alaska, the continental U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. It also manages the Integrated Waste Division, which oversees the Central Landfill, five transfer stations, closed landfill sites, and two commercial haulers. For disposal inquiries, call (707) 795-1693. The Roads Division handles the construction, operation, and maintenance of County roads, including annual paving and safety projects. Sonoma County Transit provides public transportation across the region. The Water Systems Division administers service to four small districts: Fitch Mountain, Freestone, Jenner, and Salmon Creek.
