Talia Schwartz

Talia Schwartz grew up in nearby Sebastopol, CA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College, where she continued to develop her passion for building climate-resilient communities—places where people not only live sustainably, but genuinely enjoy where they live, and, by design, find it commonplace to support and be supported by their community.

In her work with Sustainable Marin Schools, Talia empowers students, parents, and educators to take meaningful climate action in their schools and communities. She helps create opportunities for hands-on engagement, from campus greening projects and native plant installations to zero-waste programs. Through this work, she fosters a culture of collaboration, stewardship, and shared responsibility—helping shape school communities that are both environmentally resilient and deeply connected.
