Shira Lane

Shira Lane is the CEO and founder of Atrium 916, a Creative Innovation Center for Sustainability in Sacramento, where she leads the charge in pioneering circular economy solutions through art, innovation, and community-driven initiatives. As an award-winning documentary filmmaker through her production company, Unleashed Productions, and a recognized policy influencer, Shira has successfully spearheaded impactful projects such as Upcycle Pop, America’s first upcycle market; Sacramento.Shop, a circular economy marketplace; and Citizens of Planet Earth, a PBS series focused on waste reduction, along with a traveling Zero Waste Art Café designed to educate underserved communities on sustainability. Shira currently chairs the NSAC SB54 Reuse Subcommittee and founded the Circular California Initiative, collaborating with CalRecycle, the SB54 Advisory Board, and industry leaders to advance sustainable reuse infrastructure and policy.
