Marv Zauderer

Marv leads ExtraFood’s strategy, operations, programs, and staff, working with the Board on strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, and marketing. In his third career, Marv spent 20 years in tech—including at Apple—followed by 14 years as a licensed psychotherapist before committing full-time to ExtraFood. He holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology (Dominican), a Master’s in Computer Science (Stanford), and a B.S. with High Honors in Computer Science (UC Berkeley). He’s a graduate of the Stanford Executive Institute. Marv received the 2017 Silver Jefferson Award for Public Service and the Pacific Sun’s 2014–15 Hero of Marin award for Innovation. He serves on the Marin Food Policy Council and Drawdown:Marin’s Executive Committee, and has contributed to national efforts on food waste. He enjoys cycling, singing, and writing.
