Marie Kneemeyer

Marie is a passionate and versatile creative professional with a BFA in Graphic Arts from Dominican University and a rich background spanning graphic design, trash art, fine arts, and environmental activism. Her deep-seated commitment to Zero Waste began in childhood, fueled by a fascination with transforming found objects into new things. This early love blossomed into active community engagement and the utilization of her communication skills to amplify environmental messages. Marie served as the Communications Coordinator at the environmental education non-profit Daily Acts for nearly six years. Building on this experience, she has spent the last four years as the Public Education Manager at Recology Sonoma Marin, where she designs and implements impactful education and outreach initiatives as part of the Waste Zero team. Marie’s unique blend of artistic vision and dedication to environmental stewardship drives her work in fostering sustainable practices within the community.
