Leslie Lukacs

Leslie Lukacs has served as Executive Director of Zero Waste Sonoma (formerly the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency) since June 2019. With over 20 years in the solid waste and resource management industry, she previously spent 13 years as Director of Zero Waste at SCS Engineers and ran her own consulting firm for seven years. Leslie has led zero waste and sustainability programs for major institutions, agencies, and events across the U.S. She sits on the boards of the National Recycling Coalition and the Zero Waste International Alliance, and advises Zero Waste USA and the California Resource Recovery Association. She also founded several regional initiatives, including the GIVE Council, Compost Coalition of Sonoma County, Sonoma County Zero Waste Task Force, and the Zero Waste North Bay Symposium.
