Brock Dolman

Brock Dolman is a wildlife biologist, nationally recognized restoration ecologist, and innovator in watershed management and Permaculture design. He co-founded the Sowing Circle LLC and Occidental Arts & Ecology Center (OAEC), where he co-directs the Permaculture, Wildlands, and WATER Institute programs. A Life Literacy Coach, Brock teaches globally and integrates ecology with regenerative and just design. He holds a degree in Agro-Ecology and Conservation Biology from UC Santa Cruz.
His talk explores “zero waste” process-based restoration at the nexus of fire, water, soil, carbon, and biodiversity. Drawing from decades of work at OAEC, he’ll share how slash materials are reused for drainage repair, carbon sequestration, fuel load reduction, and salmonid habitat restoration in Dutch Bill Creek and beyond.
