Plastic Free Future

Alejandra Warren is a sustainability consultant, intersectional environmentalist and activist working on diverse zero waste, resource conservation and intersectional justice projects. She co-founded Plastic Free Future in 2020, a non-profit organization dedicated to the reduction and elimination of plastic pollution through promoting non-toxic reusable alternatives and focusing on outreach to marginalized communities. Alejandra is currently involved in local, national and global policy efforts to address the environmental injustices caused by plastics, including the United Nations Global Plastics Treaty. Born and raised in South America, Alejandra advocates for an intersectional approach that includes human rights, social, racial and environmental justice, and the rights of nature to develop effective solutions. From soil to humans, Alejandra strongly believes in the interconnectedness of all organisms and that working to heal our relationship with the environment will lead to happier, healthier and more resilient communities.
