Samantha brings over ten years of professional experience in program development and implementation, specializing in zero waste, plastic pollution, ocean litter, and business sustainability. Samantha manages Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund’s award-winning and measurable source reduction campaign, ReThink Disposable. She oversees a team of Specialists who are certifying hundreds of businesses and institutions to eliminate single-use disposable (SUDs) food and beverage packaging, in addition to educating the public on the life-cycle impacts of SUDs and supporting local governments’ zero waste, climate, and clean water goals through innovative programs and aggressive policies. She holds degrees from UC Santa Cruz and UC Davis, is certified in LEED GA and Sustainable Resource Management, and co-chairs the Clean Seas Coalition.
