Getting Here: Sustainable Travel and Accommodation Options

The 2024 Zero Waste Symposium is committed to sustainability, and we encourage attendees to utilize eco-friendly travel options to get to the event at the SOMO Village Event Center on May 2nd, 2024, from 8 am to 5 pm.

SOMO Village Event Center, 1100 Valley House Dr, Rohnert Park, CA 94928

Here’s a breakdown of some sustainable travel options:

By Train:

Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART): This passenger train service operates from Larkspur Landing in Marin County to Sonoma County Airport Station (STS) in Santa Rosa. The Cotati stop is less than a 30 minute walk to the Event Center

By Bus:

Sonoma County Transit (SCT): SCT operates several lines serving Rohnert Park. Plan your trip using their website (https://sctransit.com/) or download their app. Consider these routes:

  • Route 10: Travels from Santa Rosa Transit Mall to Petaluma Transit Mall, stopping near the event center at Copeland St & Redwood Dr.
  • Route 14: Travels from Coddingtown Mall to Petaluma Transit Mall, stopping near the event center at Copeland St & Redwood Dr.
  • Route 90: Travels from Sonoma State University to Coddingtown Mall, offering connecting options to Rohnert Park.

By Bike:

For the adventurous and weather-permitting, consider cycling! Sonoma County boasts beautiful scenery and dedicated bike paths. May is National Bike Month!

Parking:

Limited parking is available at the SOMO Village Event Center. To promote sustainability, carpooling or using alternative transportation is highly encouraged.

Embrace the “zero waste” spirit and choose a sustainable option for your travel to the symposium!
