Josh Prigge

Director of Regenerative Development, Fetzer Vineyards
At Fetzer Vineyards, Josh Prigge guides the vision and execution of game-changing regenerative measures at the world’s first Zero Waste-certified wine company. Prior to joining Fetzer Vineyards, Prigge was the Sustainability Coordinator at Hawai’i Pacific University, and also served as President of the Sustainability Association of Hawai`i.
Prigge’s accomplishments at Fetzer Vineyards include identifying measures and securing recognition for Fetzer Vineyards as the first certified Zero Waste wine company in the world, in 2014. In 2015, Prigge successfully completed the certification process for Fetzer Vineyards’ landmark B Corp certification, standards for which are widely recognized among the highest for social and environmental responsibility in business. December 2015 saw Prigge appear as a speaker at Caring for Climate, the official Business Forum at the United Nations’ Paris Climate Talks in France, where he shared more on the company’s zero-waste business practices and ongoing efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In his newest chapter, Prigge has challenged Fetzer Vineyards to move towards a Net Positive future, an ambitious goal calling for the Winery to eliminate all negative impacts related to business activities while increasing positive outlays, resulting in a targeted positive corporate footprint by the year 2030. “I firmly believe that business has a higher social purpose beyond just profit, so it’s exciting to come to work each day to an organization whose values align with my own, and whose focus on regenerative business is at the fore of operations,” says Prigge.
Prigge holds an MA in Global Leadership and Sustainable Development and an MBA from Hawai’i Pacific University, along with a number of certifications including: LEED Green Associate; Building Operator Certification® (BOC): Energy Efficiency for Commercial Buildings; and Global Reporting Initiative certification.
