Food Scrap Cooking Demo & Tour of Advanced Energy Center

Dinner from what you’d usually put in the compost!? Yes! Don’t waste those precious carrot tops, beet greens or leftovers from the veggies you used for tonight’s dinner. We’ll show you how to get the most out of the food you grow yourself or purchase from the grocery store. We’ll give you LOTS of ideas on how to make soup, pestos, smoothies, fruit leather, etc. from vegetable and fruit “waste”. You can’t afford to miss this class! Join Sonoma County Master Food Preservers at the Advanced Energy Center at 6:00 pm for this demonstration and then tour the Advanced Energy Center. There will be four different stations to explore.
