Fix-it Clinic & Reuse Fair
July 29 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Zero Waste Sonoma invites you to a Fix-it Clinic and Reuse Fair at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Library from 10am-2pm on Saturday July 29th. Bring your clothing, lamps, small appliances & electronics, and bicycles to get help with simple repairs. Cracked smartphone screen repairs will also be offered. Knife sharpening, a clothing swap, and guided mending will also be offered. If you don’t need any fixing, you can check out art and products made from upcycled and recycled materials in our Reuse Village area featuring Tek Tailor, Greenlynx, and local artisans and makers, and get information from Reuse Alliance, Sonoma Water, Sonoma County Regional Parks, get a snack, and fill up your bottle at the hydration station. This family friendly event will offer activities from the Children’s Museum, the Climate Center, the Trashlanteans, and the Library.
If you have items for donation, the United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay’s Flipside Thrift Store will be on site to collect good quality clothing and household items.
To register your item for fixing appointment, please click here.
The Clothing Swap is being organized by Community Bikes’ sister program, Zero Waste Action. Swaps are a fun, ecological way to get new-to-you clothes, shoes and accessories and give away unwanted wearables. Swap volunteers needed for 1-hour shifts. It is fun and rewarding. Sign up to volunteer here.
This is a free public event.
*We cannot guarantee your item(s) will be repaired, depending on the existing damage or breakage, ability of volunteer fixers, and availability of materials for repair.
*For knife sharpening, there will be a 5 item maximum per household, and knives only.
If you would like to offer your repair services at our next event, please email email@example.com.
